Pat Collier is a British record producer, audio engineer, and bassist who was born in 1951. He is best known for his work with bands such as The House of Love, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Wonder Stuff, Primal Scream, Robyn Hitchcock, Adorable, The Voice of the Beehive, X-Ray Spex, and Maximo Park.

Collier began his career in the early 1970s as a bassist with the punk band The Vibrators. He left the band in 1977 to pursue a career in production and engineering. He worked at Decca Records for a short time before setting up his own studio, Alaska Studios, in 1978.

Collier has worked with a wide range of artists over the course of his career. He is known for his unique production style, which often features a mix of live and electronic instrumentation. He has also been praised for his ability to capture the energy and excitement of live performances in the studio.

Collier is a highly respected figure in the music industry. He has won numerous awards for his work, including a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance for his work on The Jesus and Mary Chain's album "Psychocandy". He is also a member of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA).

In recent years, Collier has continued to work as a producer and engineer. He has also written a book on music production, entitled "The Pat Collier Guide to Recording".
