Tera Shirma

Recording studio in Detroit, Michigan, founded by Ralph Terrana and Al Sherman. The chief engineer at the studio was Milan Bogdan. Ralph's brother Russ Terrana also worked at the studio before moving on to Motown.

The studio recorded many coveted Detroit soul tracks for labels such as Invictus, Soulhawk Records, M-S Records, Golden World, Thelma Record Co. and Ernstrat Records, as well as recording tracks for Harry Balk, Mike Theodore And Dennis Coffey, Funkadelic, MC5, SRC, Frijid Pink, Rare Earth, Bob Babbitt's Scorpion, and Mitch Ryder, among others.

Some albums recorded and/or mixed at Tera Shirma include Isaac Hayes - Hot Buttered Soul, Funkadelic - Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow, Barbara Lewis - The Many Grooves Of Barbara Lewis, Dennis Coffey Trio - Hair And Thangs, Sixto Rodriguez - Cold Fact, and Rare Earth - Get Ready.
Sometimes incorrectly shown as Terra Shirma Studios or Terra Shirma Sound Studios.

In 1970 the studios were sold to George Lemons parents and became part of Gold Soul Inc.
