Jeff Jacobson
Jeff Jacobson has been a professional guitarist, working in the studio with legendary producers like Phil Ramone, and as a sideman, touring the country and appearing on the Tonight Show. Later, he released two albums as a singer/songwriter and was a mainstay of New York City's music scene, performing at venues such as Bowery Ballroom, Gramercy Theatre and Rockwood Music Hall.
A veteran professional music transcriber with hundreds of published credits, Jeff has created the official note-for-note guitar songbooks for pop stars (Taylor Swift, John Mayer), rock bands (Metallica, Foo Fighters), guitar gods (Steve Vai, Joe Satriani) and iconic blues and jazz artists (Stevie Ray Vaughn, Pat Metheny). He has also created 14 books of original guitar arrangements, including Star Wars for Classical Guitar (Hal Leonard Publishing), approved by composer John Williams himself. Jeff currently writes lessons for Guitar Player magazine and PremierGuitar.com, and teaches guitar and songwriting virtually.
