Larry Dobson was a longtime vocalist of the Bar-Kays beginning with the Black Rock album in 1971. Before that he sang for another Stax roster group, the Temptrees.
Dobson co-founded the Right Now Records label along with Bar-Kays bassist founding member James Alexander.
